AQUEOUS COATINGis more environmentally friendly than varnish or UV coating because it's water based. It is applied to the sheet by an additional coating tower on the press. It seals the ink which dries almost instantly and creates an additional gloss that
protects the sheet. It has better "hold-out" than varnish because it doesn't seep into the paper and it doesn't crack or scuff easily. Aqueous coating does, however, cost more than varnish but we think it is worth giving you the highest quality product as our standard. (FREE Aqueous on 1,000 or more)

We all have a different catalog design sense. Most of you know bad design when you see it. If you have an idea for your catalog but can't execute it with a professional look, find a designer who can give you what you are looking for. Graphic designers design catalogs but don't expect a graphic designer to write your copy. You are your own best copy writer. You know your product or service better than anyone. Select two colors that work together. They can be soft or bright, blend or contrast each other. These will be the primary colors in your catalog. Before you start your catalog design, you should select a template for element positioning accuracy.
FAQ and FILE REQUIREMENTS
Be sure to read FAQ and FILE REQUIREMENTS to avoid common production problems. You are responsible for supplying correct printing files. No one can print a great job with bad files. Use print industry standard software programs such as Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator, and Quark Express- if possible. We can't help you make last minute changes if you use an obscure or free online design program. Make sure all your files are 300 dpi and cymk. The printing process uses CYMK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) to make all the possible colors that can be printed. RGB files will converted to cymk change color. It's best to start out using CYMK so you can actually see the color your using. If you are not sure about what you are doing give us a call.
