OVERALL GLOSS UV COATING is standard on all our 14 and 16 point card stock. UV coating is a clear liquid spread over the paper like ink and then cured instantly with ultraviolet light. UV coating gives more protection and sheen than either aqueous coating or varnish. Since it is cured with light and not heat, no solvents enter the atmosphere so it is environmentally friendly. |

MATTE / DULL COATING is available on all jobs printed on 14 or 16 point card stock. Matte coating creates a flat smooth look that reflects less light than glossy coatings. It removes the glare and is very effective over type. Use matte coating for a more subtle,quite effect. |

EveryColor Foilª is a new unique high tech printing technique. Using a five color printing process you can add foil to solids, half tones and gradients with multiple foil colors on the same design. They can be used as an overall foil color or a spot foil color to highlight areas of your choice.

| HOW TO SET UP YOUR EVERYCOLOR FOILª FILES |
This State-of-the-art feature allows you to produce large solid areas as well as reversed out areas of colored foil. You can produce foiled half tones, gradients and have multiple colors in foil on the same design. For a EveryColor Foilª job, you must include an colored foil/mask file along with your CMYK file. The mask file indicates where the foil will be placed. The file process is the same as spot UVÑ100% K where foil is placed, 0% where the foil is not placed.
When creating knockouts in your colored foil mask or in your CMYK print file, beware there might be a "Halo" of white around the knockout area. To prevent this, grow/stroke the foil area in the mask by 1Ð2 pixels. This will allow the foil to bleed into the CMYK area, reducing the white "Halo" effect. You can also fill in the knockout with a color to reduce the effect further.

| THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN CREATING YOUR ÒEVERYCOLORª FOILÓ FILE |
- Make sure the mask and CMYK print file are aligned and match up properly.
- Colored foil works best on lighter colors. The darker the CMYK color, the less the colored foil look.
- White in the CMYK file that is 100% K in the colored foil file will appear as plain silver colored foil.
- Do not use very thin or small text and artwork with colored foil... Use san serif fonts above 12 point for best results.

| FAQ and FILE REQUIREMENTS |
Be sure to read our FAQ and FILE REQUIREMENTS to avoid common production problems. Remember that you are responsible for supplying correct printing files. No one can print a great job using bad files. Use print industry standard software programs such as Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator, and Quark Express- if possible. We do our best to help whenever possible to correct files but we can't help you make last minute changes if you use an obscure or free online design program. Make sure all your files are 300 dpi and cymk.
The printing process uses CYMK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) to make all the possible colors that can be printed. RGB files must be converted to cymk and this conversion can change color. It's best to start out using CYMK so you can actually see the color you are using. If you are not sure about what you are doing, give us a call. Our professional team may be able to set you on the correct course. We are here for you. |
