AQUEOUS COATING is more environmentally friendly than varnish coating because it's water based. It is applied to the sheet by an additional coating tower on the press. It seals the ink which dries almost instantly and creates a protective gloss finish on the sheet. It has better "hold-out" than varnish because it doesn't seep into the paper and it doesn't crack or scuff easily. FAQ and FILE REQUIREMENTS

Be sure to read our FAQ and FILE REQUIREMENTS to avoid common production problems. Remember that you are responsible for supplying correct printing files. No one can print a great job using bad files. Use print industry standard software programs such as Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator, and Quark Express- if possible. We do our best to help whenever possible to correct files but we can't help you make last minute changes if you use an obscure or free online design program. Make sure all your files are 300 dpi and cymk.
The printing process uses CYMK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) to make all the possible colors that can be printed. RGB files must be converted to cymk and this conversion can change color. It's best to start out using CYMK so you can actually see the color you are using. If you are not sure about what you are doing, give us a call.
